In the past several years Dr. Lavoie worked with the internationally known sculptor, Pablo Eduardo. Eduardo recently completed (2022) a bronze sculpture which is a three-dimensional replica of the image of the man of the Shroud of Turin. This was done in exquisite detail, paying much attention to the anatomy of the figure. This sculpture named The Sign, reveals a whole new way of understanding the shroud image. The sculpture is now part of the Shroud of Jesus Exhibit located at Ave Maria University. Dr.Lavoie’s work as well as the sculpture, The Sign is to be exhibited at the St. John Paul II National Shrine in Washington DC for the Lenten Season of 2025.
